A little fun with the Bird Banter stamp set!

Here's a fun set that is just so darn cute!  It's called "Bird Banter" and you will find it in our current Occasions Catalogue. Here I've just simply stamped the birds (on branches) in Memento Tuxedo black ink, and then coloured them with Stampin' Blends.   I dont know about you, but I find colouring very therapeutic.... anyone else???

The Stampin' Blends are available as single markers, combo packs, or even the whole collection!  If you haven't used them yet, you will be really happy with the quality and intensity of these markers!

I've included a product list below should you wish to purchase any of these items for yourself, and all you need is your Credit Card handy.   Items can be shipped directly to your door, anywhere in Australia.  To order, click on the item you want, or you can click the SHOP NOW button on this page too.

I hope you like the card today, and I'll be back with more for you soon.

Heart Happiness for a Friend

I received my "Heart Happiness" stamp set this week, and I couldn't wait to use it!  I've been seeing a lot of creations made with this set.. in particular that delicious looking striped heart... I love how it almost looks watercoloured when you stamp it!  I was inspired by a card I saw created by Kim McGillis in Canada... even though my card is not the same, I did use similar elements in my card.

I've used a colour I haven't used much lately - Rose Red - and it worked with the Silver and Powder Pink just beautifully.  The wash behind the focal point is done in Rose Red ink.  The word "friend" is cut from the heart-shaped framelits in the "Lovely Words" thinlit set,  and the silver striped panel behind the heart is a piece of our new Springtime Foils DSP which is a FREE Sale-a-bration item, available with a $90 order right now.  I love the way all the elements in this card work together!

I've included a Product List below... if you wish to purchase any of these items use the SHOP NOW button on this page.  All you need is a credit card, and items are sent directly to your door, anywhere in Australia.  If you have any questions at all.... contact me by clicking HERE.

Happy Stamping!

Sneak Peek: New SAB freebies available 16th February!

Its time to add even more awesomeness to our Sale-A-Bration offerings for 2018!  I know you've all been enjoying the fabulous gifts with purchase available to you at this time of year... but as of Friday, several more items will be added to this already impressive list!  And my favourite is.....

The Springtime Foils DSP!

This is a collection of 12 12"x12" papers, single-sided, that feature beautiful metallic foil designs in several different tone.  Today I have used the leaf design one in gorgeous Silver and Gold foil.  Its divine all by itself, or you can do as I have done here... you can colour in the designs.  I chose to colour my leaves in Pool Party ink with one of our Stampin'Write markers... and this fabulous background was the result!

Tip:  Use water based inks when colouring these foil designs.  You can use Stampin'Blends of course, (which are alcohol based) however the blends will also colour the foil as well as the white background paper.  If thats the look that you want, go ahead.  However in this case I wanted the foil design to resist the ink... so I chose to use the normal Stampin'Write markers instead.  But if you prefer to use the Blends, it will still look lovely, but it will give you a different effect.

Today's card is just a first look... dont worry, you'll be seeing me use a LOT more of this gorgeous paper! Dont forget that it is free with a $90 order from the 16th February onwards, and will only be available while Sale-A-Bration is on... so only until March 31st.  To see the other items available for free, visit the Online Store anytime on or after the 16th.

Enjoy!

Apron of Love Bundle in 2 different colour ways

I've started to play around with the Apron of Love bundle in the past couple of days.  This is one that I got early on when the Occasions Catalogue began, but I just hadn't got around to having a play with it.  Well yesterday I decided it was time to fix that.... and I created a cute little card using one of my favourite current colours... Calypso Coral.  Its funny how I go through colour phases... do you do that too?  Of course blue is still my favourite and I often come back to it.  But I also have little escapades with other colours, and Calypso Coral has been popping up quite a bit of late :-)

There are so many things I love about this bundle... but I just adore those little utensils!  I've been cutting them out of Silver Foil paper and they look so cute!  Baking and BBQs are covered!

I think cards made with this bundle could be used for a variety of different types of occasions.  Im actually thinking of giving this one below to my BBQ loving husband for our anniversary... I think he would like it!  We've been married 2 years today!   (I made this card originally for the Colour Inkspirations Challenge this week.... the challenge was to use Bermuda Bay, Emerald Envy, Tranquil Tide and Sahara Sand.  Luckily you were allowed to add metallics too... phew!)

My challenge to you today is to check your stamps and supplies, and if you have a set or bundle that has seen little of no use.... grab it out and create with it!  You bought it because you loved it, so make sure to put it to use!  You just might be surprised with you come up with!  (And if you cant get inspired there's always the option of typing the name of your set into the Pinterest Search.... LOADS of awesome ideas in there!)

Enjoy!

Brusho Backgrounds.... again!

Last week I did a Facebook Live video over on my Facebook Business Page.  I actually really enjoy making them... it's a great way for me to connect with my customers and my "likers".  I can give out a lot of information quickly and they can comment and ask questions as they watch.  Kinda live YouTube but with instant feedback!

In last week's live video I showed a couple of different ways to use Brusho.... in particular using embossing folders.  I had already done a YouTube video showing how to create backgrounds with Embossing folders and Brusho.... but WITHOUT a Big Shot.  This time I showed how to use these items with the Big Shot as well... and this beautiful background you see in the card above is the result!  Of course, using this technique will get you a different result every time... but I have been really happy with ALL my attempts so far!  I don't think you can really go wrong with this easy technique!

To finish this off, I added a sentiment from the Petal Palette stamp set, and the loopy die is from the matching Petals and More framelits.  The leaves were punched out of gold glimmer paper with the Leaf Punch.  A bow tied with linen thread finished it off.

I couldnt wait to use this background piece and I was so happy with how this turned out. I hope you like it too!

Simple Scrapbook Layout in neutral tones

Every second month I run a Scrapbooking day in the Hunter Valley at the Taste of the County cafe.  Its an all-day affair, and the attendees get to create 2 simple traditional pages as well as some pocket scrapbooking if they choose. Its flexible and works around their photos... so with that in mind I bring a few extra colours and choices to suit a range of photos.

I try to keep the pages fairly simple as there are often new crafters at these events.  So I often choose neutral bases to start with.  Here I chose a cardstock base of Sahara Sand, which is a wonderful colour that works with lots of palettes.  Currently Sahara Sand is not available as a stand alone 12"x12" paper, but if you keep an eye out in each new catalogue you will often find it in a 12"x12" limited release pack.  Right now however, you can get a "Best of Neutrals" 12"x12" pack, which includes 8 each of these colours: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso and Smoky Slate. I could have easily used the Smoky Slate or even Crumb Cake in this case and it would also have worked well.  I have included this Best of Neutrals pack in the product list below.

I added some of our Petal Passion DSP - which is black and white and therefore again is very versatile.  The addition of a Pear Pizazz mat behind the photos is perfect for any photos that have any green in them.  I find most outdoor shots work with a little green!

I stamped some of the flowers from the Petal Palette bundle and cut them out with the framelits where possible.  These were coloured with Stampin' Blends alcohol markers, once again to suit the photos.  Here i used Calypso Coral light and dark for my flowers.  The green is Old Olive.

The last thing I added is my favourite... I used the awesome new "Celebrate You" thinlit dies to create the words "Amazing You" in silver glimmer and foil.  I love these dies and have been using them everywhere! You'll find them in the current Sale-A-Bration catalogue as they are free with a $180 order!

I've included a product list below should you wish to purchase any of these products for yourself here in Australia.  Clicking on an item will take you to the Online Store... ordering is easy and you just need your credit card handy.  Items are delivered directly to your door, anywhere in Australia, for a low postage charge.

Enjoy the page..... I'll be back with more soon! (Or if you would like to see updates and new stuff from me even more often please "LIKE" by Facebook Business Page... See you there!
